Role Description The Shop Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC, responsible for leading daily store operations and supporting the team in delivering an elevated guest experience. This role oversees floor leadership, supports visual merchandising standards, and ensures that product presentation aligns with KIT + ACE’s brand and technical design focus. The Shop Lead coaches and mentors team members, assists with scheduling, and helps drive sales through thoughtful customer engagement and product knowledge. Daily tasks include opening and closing procedures, monitoring inventory levels, supporting stock management, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming shop environment. The Shop Lead also collaborates with management on performance feedback, supports training initiatives, and contributes to achieving store targets and key performance indicators.
Qualifications
• Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with strong skills in customer service, relationship building, and guest engagement.
• Leadership abilities including team coaching, delegation, problem-solving, and supporting performance management in a shop setting.
• Operational skills such as cash handling, point-of-sale use, inventory management, and adherence to store policies and procedures.
• Interest in fashion and technical apparel, with the ability to learn and communicate product features, styling options, and brand values.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, give and receive feedback, and support a positive team culture.
• Organizational and time-management skills, including prioritizing tasks during busy periods and maintaining visual and cleanliness standards.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for full-time retail operations.
• Previous experience in a lead or key holder role is an asset; familiarity with Vancouver retail market and local clientele is beneficial.
