Role Description The Family Physician at Caretel Medical clinic will provide comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families across the lifespan. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, managing preventive care and wellness visits, and coordinating care with pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals. The role involves managing urgent care concerns, reviewing medications, providing patient education, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation in accordance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver, BC, requiring regular collaboration with the pharmacy team to deliver integrated, patient-centered care. Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong skills in Primary Care and Family Medicine to provide comprehensive, longitudinal care to patients of all ages.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine, including evidence-based clinical decision-making and management of chronic and acute conditions.
• Candidates should possess experience in Urgent Care to evaluate and treat non-emergent but time-sensitive medical issues in a community setting.
• Candidates should possess an understanding of Community Health to address population health needs, preventive care, and health promotion.
• Medical degree (MD or DO) and licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice as a Family Physician in British Columbia.
• Certification in Family Medicine (or equivalent) and good standing with relevant regulatory and professional bodies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to inclusive, culturally sensitive care.
• Ability to work on-site in Vancouver, BC, with reliable availability for full-time clinical hours.
• Experience collaborating with pharmacists and other allied health professionals is an asset.
