About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Territory Manager to join our Safety & Security Division and manage the Pacific Region territory, which includes British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon, and Northwest Territories. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with dealers and direct customers across Western Canada. You will serve as a trusted resource for our customers, providing consultative guidance, product expertise, training, and ongoing support. This is an opportunity for an experienced sales professional who enjoys working independently, building relationships, and combining strong business development skills with a technical understanding of communications products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
• Manage and grow the Pacific Region territory in alignment with established sales targets and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing dealers and direct accounts.
• Identify, prospect, and develop new accounts to expand market penetration and generate new business.
• Sell consultatively by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
• Develop an annual territory business plan in collaboration with the National Sales Manager.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts. Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
• Act as a trusted resource for dealers and customers throughout the sales process.
• Provide product advice, technical guidance, and solutions based on customer requirements.
• Support customers with product selection, applications, and post-sale needs.
• Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Provide after-sales support as required. Product Knowledge, Training & Presentations
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of JVCKENWOOD products, features, applications, pricing, and programs.
• Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
• Prepare and deliver effective product demonstrations, sales presentations, proposals, and training sessions.
• Participate in territory seminars and other customer-facing activities.
• Share customer and market insights with Sales, Marketing, Product Planning, and Technical teams. Sales Administration & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, opportunities, presentations, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline information to support sales forecasting and territory planning.
• Prepare sales activity reports and forecasts as required.
• Ensure a thorough understanding of company pricing, programs, policies, and procedures.
• Complete quotes, proposals, and other sales documentation as required. Collaboration & Industry Engagement
• Work closely with members of the Sales, Technical, Product Planning, and Marketing teams to support customers and achieve business objectives.
• Attend company meetings, conferences, trade shows, seminars, and other industry events as required.
• Represent JVCKENWOOD Canada professionally and build awareness of our products and solutions within the territory. What You Bring
• 5+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of successfully selling products or services within the two-way radio communications or a related industry.
• Experience working with dealers, distributors, channel partners, and/or direct accounts.
• Strong business development, relationship management, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand and communicate product features, performance, applications, and benefits.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze sales data and prepare clear, concise reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable working in a small to mid-size environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Valid provincial driver's license.
• Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally.
