Job Title: Senior QA Analyst – Accessibility & Mobile Testing
Location:
Toronto, ON (2-3 days hybrid) Contract: Long Term Contract Job Summary We are looking for a Senior QA Analyst with strong experience in Accessibility Testing and Mobile Application Testing within a banking or financial services environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards, and validating a high-quality customer experience across multiple devices and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing for web and mobile banking applications. Perform comprehensive Accessibility Testing across web and mobile applications. Validate applications against WCAG 2.1/2.2, AODA, and accessibility best practices. Conduct accessibility testing using tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, WAVE, and browser accessibility tools. Test mobile applications across iOS and Android devices and multiple screen sizes/resolutions. Validate mobile functionality, navigation, usability, gestures, notifications, authentication, and device compatibility. Identify and document accessibility issues including keyboard navigation, focus management, screen-reader compatibility, color contrast, labels, headings, forms, error messages, and dynamic content. Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, defect reports, and test execution documentation. Work closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, UX/UI teams, and Accessibility specialists to investigate and resolve defects. Perform defect triage, root-cause analysis, retesting, and regression testing. Validate fixes across different browsers, operating systems, mobile devices, and assistive technologies. Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Reviews. Support UAT and production validation as required. Ensure testing activities align with BMO's quality, security, accessibility, and compliance standards. Provide QA status reports, defect metrics, test results, and risk assessments to project stakeholders. Required Skills 8+ years of QA/testing experience, preferably within banking or financial services. Strong hands-on experience with Accessibility Testing. Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, AODA Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android. Experience with VoiceOver and TalkBack. Experience with JAWS and/or NVDA. Hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, or similar. Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Experience creating test cases, executing test plans, and managing defects. Experience with JIRA, ALM, or similar defect-management tools. Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
