As part of our team, you’ll work closely with colleagues while also leading a client portfolio, balancing independence with collaboration in a client-focused, values-driven consulting environment.
What You’ll Do
As an HR Consultant, you will:
• Provide HR support and solutions across multiple organizations
• Act as a trusted HR partner, supporting leaders and employees on a range of workplace matters
• Execute core HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, documentation, and policy implementation
• Support employee relations, performance management, and compliance-related matters with sound judgment
• Assist with accommodations, leaves, and return-to-work processes
• Maintain and update HR documentation, templates, and client records
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR tools, resources, and service delivery approaches
• Manage multiple priorities and client needs with strong organization and follow-through
• Collaborate with internal team members to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across client work
• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and a high standard of client service
• Contribute to the continued growth of Leaps&Bounds by helping strengthen our internal processes, methodologies, and culture.
• Support client work across other service areas as opportunities arise, contributing your expertise and collaborating with colleagues across the firm. What You Bring
• 5+ years of progressive experience across multiple HR disciplines
• Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment legislation (provincial and federal)
• Experience supporting day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations and performance management
• Ability to balance tactical execution with thoughtful, practical HR guidance
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Clear, professional communication skills and strong accountability
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills in complex or sensitive situations
• Experience working with diverse teams and supporting inclusive workplace practices
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and standard business tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
• CPHR designation (or working toward it) is an asset Why Leaps&Bounds? At Leaps&Bounds, we believe HR should be thoughtful, practical, and deeply human.
Our Managed HR Services model gives clients access to seasoned HR practitioners with diverse experience, while giving our team meaningful, hands-on work and the opportunity to make a real impact. At our core, we value trust, transparency, and follow-through. We show up with courage by asking tough questions, navigating complexity, and staying the course when the work gets uncomfortable. We listen deeply, think creatively, and collaborate closely to deliver high-quality solutions that truly fit the people and workplaces we serve. We care about our team and our clients. Our team currently follows a hybrid work model, with a combination of in-office and remote work.
