Toronto ,ON Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, data engineering, AI application development, and cloud platforms. The candidate will work closely with clients and engineering teams to build, deploy, and optimize production-ready AI and data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to understand workflows, requirements, and success criteria.
• Profile and process data using Python, pandas, PySpark, and SQL.
• Develop and deploy AI applications, REST APIs, and data pipelines using FastAPI and cloud platforms.
• Build Claude-powered AI solutions using RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases, semantic search, and agentic AI.
• Implement batch, real-time, and streaming data pipelines.
• Manage MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD, MLflow, monitoring, deployment, and rollback.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance, reliability, latency, and cost.
• Ensure data security, governance, quality, and compliance while driving client adoption and knowledge transfer. Required Skills
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, AI application development, and production software engineering.
• Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, REST APIs, FastAPI, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, and MLflow.
• Experience with Claude, RAG, vector databases, agentic AI, and LLMOps/MLOps.
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, distributed processing, cloud platforms, and CI/CD.
• Understanding of IAM/RBAC, encryption, data privacy, monitoring, and enterprise security.
• Excellent client-facing, consulting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• BFSI experience and a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline are required/preferred as specified by the employer; relevant certifications are an advantage.
