Position Overview The Junior Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting and administrative operations of Action Force Transport. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone with a foundation in accounting who is organized, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career with the company.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with daily accounting activities, financial recordkeeping, and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare and enter journal entries and support bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and account reviews.
• Support payroll-related accounting activities, recordkeeping, and reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Review and verify financial documentation, expenses, and transportation-related invoices.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding accounting inquiries and discrepancies.
• Provide ad hoc HR support, including employee documentation, onboarding, attendance tracking, and general HR administration.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial and employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as required. Required Skills & Competencies
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and financial recordkeeping.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn new responsibilities.
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Interest in building a stable, long-term career with the company. Education & Qualifications
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in transportation or logistics is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Trimble TruckMate (TMW) is preferred but not required.
