Responsibilities:
• Lead electrical design for small to medium sized oil and gas projects for electrical, controls and instrumentation drawings.
• Maintain an organized filing system within each project, ensuring accurate documentation and revision control.
• Manage the requirements of multiple projects simultaneously including time management and deliverable prioritization.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to develop designs and complete electrical drawing packages within project scope, schedule and budget.
• Check drawings to ensure they are complete and compliant with standards and specifications.
• Make revisions and improvements to designs/drawings in accordance with changing project demands while ensuring changes are carried out across an entire design.
Requirements:
• Electrical Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years’ experience in electrical & instrumentation design (oil& gas experience required)
• Familiar with CEC, NFPA, API codes.
• Experience with instructing/supervising junior drafters.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• 3D modelling skills would be considered an asset.
• Excellent English language reading and writing skills.
