A career as a Senior Advisor within the Strategy, Data and Performance team at National Bank means acting as a key contributor to the development and evolution of Digital Assets capabilities within Capital Markets Operations. This role allows you to have a positive impact on our organization through your expertise in capital markets operations, operational controls, and process improvement, while developing specialized knowledge in a rapidly evolving area of the financial industry.

Your role
• Manage Digital Assets operational activities, including trade capture, funding, custody, settlement, reconciliations, market events, and exception management.
• Implement and enhance operational processes, procedures, and controls in collaboration with Digital Assets specialists and business partners.
• Monitor transactions and positions, investigate breaks and discrepancies, coordinate resolution efforts, and strengthen operational controls.
• Develop expertise in on-chain and off-chain activities, digital wallets, exchanges, custodians, and Digital Asset Books of Record.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and external providers to support operations and evolving institutional use cases.
• Contribute to documentation, testing, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the maturity and scalability of the operating model. Your teamThe Strategy, Data and Performance Vice-Presidency brings together specialists who work in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, remain at the forefront of innovation, and continuously improve operational processes. Within the Capital Markets Operations sector, you are part of a multidisciplinary team and report to the Senior Director, Strategy, Data and Performance. You will work closely with Digital Assets specialists and collaborate with partners across trading, operations, technology, risk, and compliance teams. You will have the opportunity to develop unique expertise at the intersection of traditional Capital Markets Operations and Digital Assets while contributing directly to the implementation of new operational capabilities. • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in Capital Markets Operations or post-trade activities, including settlements, reconciliations, custody, trade capture, or exception management.
• Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles, operational controls, and interactions between trading, operations, and market systems.
• Experience investigating operational incidents, resolving exceptions, and supporting process improvements within a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory and control frameworks applicable to financial institutions.
• Strong interest in Digital Assets, blockchain technology, and the evolution of market infrastructure. Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to work closely with our colleagues outside Quebec. Required
