Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner provides health education and care within the scope of nursing practice, as a member of client-centered interdisciplinary team, the Nurse Practitioner provides care to individuals promoting wellness, prevention of disease and/or disability and the management of complex chronic diseases/conditions. The incumbent works as an advocate on behalf of the client to ensure the appropriate links/referrals to other human services that would enable the client to achieve their health goals. Qualifications Education
• Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program at a Masters Level
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse (Extended Practice) and a member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurse in Manitoba Skills, Expertise and Experience
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience working as an RN (EP)
• A minimum of three (3) years' experience working in a community health setting
• Knowledge and Experience working with Students and/or Volunteers
• Current CPR Certification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Community EMR/Accuro, and eChart Critical Skills Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
