EVENT SECURITY SUPERVISOR POSITION

We are seeking Event Security Supervisor for the Edmonton area Flexible Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends. Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour during the probationary period, increasing to $21.00 per hour after the successful completion of three months of employment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Event Security Supervisor Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise a team of 10 to 20 security guards at a time and provide ongoing support and leadership.
• Possess event security experience in a leadership role, preferably with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Conduct security screening using systems such as the Evolv system, including bag searches, pat-downs, and wanding procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports and review incident reports submitted by team members.
• Coach, train, mentor, and develop team members effectively.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites, ensuring the security and safety of client property, assets, and personnel.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, site procedures, and safety requirements.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and client concerns.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must hold a valid Alberta Security License.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of event security experience.
• Must have open availability, with the ability to work evenings and weekends, as most events are scheduled during these times.
• Must possess, or be willing and able to obtain, AGLC ProServe and ProTect certification.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, as many events take place outside.
• Additional certifications relevant to the role will be considered an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills are preferred.
• Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced event environment while maintaining a professional demeanor. OTHER
