Senior Technical Analyst – Windows Workstation Expert

Montreal, Quebec, Canada Maarut Full-time
Mandate Overview:
• The client is looking for a senior consultant who acts as the technical reference for the workstation team, across two equally weighted streams. The first is the application lifecycle: integration, packaging, testing and deployment according to current standards, with Intune, PatchMyPC, AppToDeployToolKit and Astro as the named tooling. The second is advanced-level diagnosis on Windows 11: root cause analysis and fixes affecting the operating system, applications, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Intune. The "Analyst" title is generic compared to the content, which describes a technical expert role; qualification must rely on responsibilities, not on the title. The expected deliverables (test reports, diagnostic reports, operating guides, knowledge transfer documentation) point to real documentation output, not an accessory task.
• Target candidate: a Microsoft workstation specialist who has packaged and deployed applications through Intune in a Windows 11 fleet, using PowerShell and PSAppDeployToolkit, and who is the advanced escalation point for complex incidents. This person documents solutions and trains internal teams, rather than working in front-line support. Requirements Required:
• Significant experience in workstation management in a Microsoft environment
• Expertise in application packaging and deployment
• Command of Intune, Active Directory and Entra ID
• Command of PatchMyPC, AppToDeployToolKit, Astro and PowerShell
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and resolving complex issues on Windows 11
• Documentation and knowledge transfer skills Profiles to Exclude:
• Service desk (L1/L2) profile with no demonstrated application packaging or deployment.
• Profile mentioning Intune for device enrollment or compliance, with no demonstrated application integration or deployment.
• Profile whose application deployment relies solely on SCCM/MECM, with no demonstrated Intune.
• Server or infrastructure administration profile, with no demonstrated responsibility for the end-user workstation.
• Profile mentioning Windows troubleshooting with no root cause analysis and no Windows 11 experience.
• Profile with no demonstrated documentation output (procedures, guides, test reports).
