Program Summary: The HR Support worker would work collaboratively with all departments and support the HR team in developing and improving various HR functions while supporting with day-to-day HR tasks. Responsibilities In this position the HR Student would assist the HR Team with a variety of projects including:
• Supporting new orientation and onboarding processes.
• Pre-screening phone calls for potential hires.
• Assist in coordinating meetings.
• Researching topics and providing comprehensive information.
• Assist in preparing reports, filing and organizing documents.
• Assist in maintaining a comprehensive filing system.
• Other duties consistent with the role as requested. Regular supervision and training will be provided to students to obtain relevant knowledge and skills to perform mentioned responsibilities. Qualifications
• Enrolled in a College or Bachelor program related to Human Resources.
• Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal, organization, time management, and prioritizing skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work in and contribute to an environment which respects the human rights, dignity and worth of all individuals.
• Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a team and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated commitment to principles of cultural competency, social justice, anti-oppression, equity and inclusion.
