The Opportunity
We are looking for a self-motivated and highly driven candidate for our opening as a Commercial Insurance Broker.
Our next co-worker will have at least 1 years' worth of recent customer service experience, and will be able to produce solid references who can attest to their client-wowing abilities

- I have commercial broker experience, I have my commercial broker license CAIB 1, 2, 3

- I enjoy helping others - I don't hesitate to provide assistance to my colleague when in need.
- I'm big on serving up superior customer service - in person, over the phone, or digitally - and believe in treating people the way I would want to be treated.
- This said, I can "shake off" the occasional tough call, and not let it ruin my day.
- I have good work references -I have made great connections with my previous/ current employers
What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Taking incoming calls from new and existing clients looking for insurance quotes or changes to their commercial insurance policies
- Researching and developing relationships with new prospective clients
- Setting up meetings with these prospects (telephone and face-to-face)
- Continuing education: keeping on top of insurance product developments
- Preparing and presenting proposals
What you'll need
Qualifications
- Drive and initiative
- Solid interpersonal skills (a genuine "people person")
- Excellent listening and communicating skills
- A high level of self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Master of efficiency and organization
- Ability to work under deadlines
- Commitment to continuing education (insurance courses and seminars)
- Fluent French/English bilingualism: written and spoken
- At least 1 year of previous general insurance experience

We are a local independent insurance broker, and this is more than a catchphrase… it actually means something for you. The broker part means that we have access to a number of insurance companies, most of whom deal exclusively through brokers. In other words, we shop on your behalf for the best product that fits your specific needs, at the best available price. The independent part means just that… that we are free of any “sketchy” ties to any of the insurers that we work with that could cause confusion or conflict when it comes to choosing insurance for our clients. Since we don’t work for an insurance company, we’re on your side when it comes to dealing with an insurance claim.
