Temporary: Immediately – December 18, 2026
NOTE: This assignment may be extended.
Qualifications:
- BC Certification
- Bachelor of Education with a focus on Inclusive Education or equivalent training that includes coursework in the following areas:
- students with disabilities or diverse abilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder
- strategies for adapting and modifying curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students
- principles of UDL and their application in the classroom
- Previous teaching experience in Inclusive Education at the secondary level and experience supporting students with complex needs
- Demonstrated ability to implement Individualized Education Plans
- Demonstrated current knowledge of the renewed curriculum, including the learning outcomes and appropriate resources; including for students with autism
- Experience with assistive technology
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills
The annual salary for this position ranges from $64,012 to $118,237, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
