Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, repair, and testing of piping systems on marine vessels and industrial sites
  • Read and interpret marine and industrial blueprints, schematics, pipe detail arrangement drawings, and both standard and metric specifications
  • Layout, measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe systems including fittings, flanges, and valves
  • Work with various pipe materials including carbon steel, copper-nickel, and stainless steel
  • Support journeypersons by following direction and ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained
  • Maintain tools and equipment and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized worksite

Qualifications:

  • Registered Pipefitter Apprentice
  • Previous experience in a marine or industrial environment is considered an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
  • Valid safety certifications including:
    • Confined Space
    • Fall Protection
    • WHMIS
