The current opening is for an Estimator, reporting to the Director of Tendering. Your new role The Estimator will support the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and tender submission for shipyard projects. They will work closely with the estimating team, project managers, and engineers to develop cost breakdowns, compile data, and ensure timely and accurate bid submissions. This individual will maintain and update the tender log and archive past submissions for reference and benchmarking. They will collect and verify information from supplies and subtrades in collaboration with procurement. The Estimator will stay informed on RFP/RFQ requirements, industry practices and client's stands to improve submission quality. What you'll need to succeed The successful Estimator candidate will have a degree or diploma in engineering, business or a related field and have at least 2 years of estimation experience. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple buds at one time. The Estimator will have experience in RFP submission and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Finally, any experience in ship repair, construction or related technical estimation would be considered an asset.
