Oversee building operations and tenant service as a Superintendent in St Catharines, Ontario, with cleaning, maintenance, and emergency response responsibilities. Maintain welcoming common areas while supporting residents, visitors, and prospective tenants.
Homestead seeks a Superintendent for an existing vacancy, working 40 hours weekly plus weekend shifts and on-call coverage. The position includes day-to-day building upkeep, minor plumbing and electrical maintenance, tenant relations, apartment preparation, and rent administration. You will help keep the property clean, safe, and well managed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean common areas and corridors
- Prepare apartments for incoming residents
- Facilitate work orders and complete minor maintenance
- Address tenant concerns promptly and professionally
- Show vacant apartments and collect incoming rents
Requirements:
- Availability for 40 hours weekly and weekend shifts
- Ability to follow an on-call schedule
- Ability to respond professionally during emergencies
- Ability to maintain fire and winter safety logs
- Ability to complete required rental documentation
