Lead skilled trades as a Maintenance Supervisor at Bimbo Canada, the world's largest baking company. Oversee preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and team engagement in a unionized setting.
In this supervisory role, you will manage skilled trades such as millwrights and electricians while driving efficient operations in a manufacturing environment. You will also ensure compliance with OHSA and other safety standards, handle contractor management, and lead maintenance shutdowns to provide quality service. Your leadership will foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise skilled trades and ensure safety compliance
- Manage contractors for maintenance and capital projects
- Lead maintenance shutdowns and overhauls
- Drive root cause analysis for operational issues
- Implement Total Productive Maintenance strategies
Requirements:
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience
- Familiarity with food safety standards
- Experience with CMMS and maintenance strategies
- Strong communication and project management skills
