Become a part of AgeCare's mission by working as a Recreation and Leisure Facilitator. In this role, you will plan activities that empower residents through creative engagement and community connections.
AgeCare seeks a passionate Recreation and Leisure Facilitator to develop and execute enriching recreational programs for residents in a long-term care environment. Your ability to adapt and respond to resident needs while fostering personal connections will be essential. Building a collaborative atmosphere with staff and volunteers will enhance program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily recreation and leisure activities
- Maintain engaging spaces that invite participation
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Monitor changes in resident abilities and engagement
- Participate in ongoing program evaluation and improvement
Requirements:
- Experience with seniors in a relevant setting
- Diploma or degree in recreation or healthcare-related fields
- Actively pursuing a degree in therapeutic recreation
- Skills in meaningful activity planning
- Knowledge of wellness assessment and resident engagement
Contribute to enriching the lives of residents at AgeCare through creative and fulfilling recreation.
