You will play a vital role in the specimen collection process, from greeting patients to preparing specimens for transport. Your ability to perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings will enhance patient care while maintaining essential client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and explain collection procedures
- Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings
- Manage special test collections and documentation
- Maintain patient relationships through inquiry responses
- Prepare specimens for transportation and testing
Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved Laboratory Assistant program
- Phlebotomy experience highly preferred
- ECG training or experience an asset
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Ability to uphold patient privacy standards
