Join Affirm's Data and Storage Services team as a Senior Backend Engineer, focusing on developing scalable solutions for data processing and analytics in a remote work environment.
In this role, you'll leverage your engineering skills, leading projects across OLTP and OLAP systems. With a focus on collaboration, you will work closely with product management, design, and analytics teams to drive product success. Your responsibilities will include enhancing data infrastructure and addressing technology challenges in a dynamic, fast-growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals effectively
- Collaborate with product and design on technical constraints
- Identify and advocate for solutions to project issues
- Monitor team artifacts and support on-call efforts
- Establish quality standards through code reviews and tech talks
Requirements:
- 4+ years in designing and launching backend systems
- Proven experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of technologies like Spark, Kafka, and Terraform
- Strong communication skills for global collaboration
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
