This established CPA firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a diverse client portfolio that includes private businesses and not-for-profits. You will prepare financial statements, tackle tax returns, and assist with audit engagements while taking on more responsibility without waiting for a managerial title. The role also includes opportunities for tax planning and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare compilation and review engagements independently
- Assist in diverse audit engagements for multiple clients
- Manage corporate T2 and personal T1 tax filings
- Directly communicate with clients to resolve queries
- Review junior accountants' work and provide guidance
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Canadian public accounting experience
- Proficient in compilation and review engagements
- Experience with T2 and T1 tax return preparation
- Knowledge of ASPE and CaseWare
- CPA designation or in progress
