Build data center expertise through rack installation and cable management in a hands-on infrastructure environment. Support customer equipment while developing technical operations skills.
This entry-level Data Center Operations Technician supports installation, maintenance, and management of customer equipment. The work includes cross-connects, fiber and copper cabling, equipment testing, and asset records. You will also provide on-site customer support and assist operations, security, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data center work orders within agreed service levels
- Install, rack, and cable customer equipment
- Perform cross-connect installations, testing, and documentation
- Support fiber, copper, and coax cable management
- Update asset management systems and operational records
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of relevant technical experience
- Basic understanding of fiber optic and copper connectivity
- Strong attention to detail and established procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Develop practical data center operations experience through cabling, cross-connects, equipment installation, and customer support.
