Contribute to patient care as a Therapeutic Assistant at Nova Scotia Health in Central Zone, Nova Scotia. Support therapeutic services and collaborate with the healthcare team while enhancing patient outcomes.
This casual full-time position offers the chance to assist in providing health promotion services within the Adult Neurodevelopmental Stabilization Unit. You will work closely under the guidance of a Recreation Therapist and communicate vital patient information necessary for optimal care. The role prioritizes strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with health and therapeutic services for patients
- Cooperate with interdisciplinary team members
- Implement individual care plans effectively
- Communicate patient-specific details to treatment team
- Promote health and wellbeing in daily interactions
Requirements:
- Grade 12 plus Therapeutic Recreation program year one completed
- Current CPR certification required
- First Aid certification preferred
- Non Violent Crisis Intervention certification is an asset
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
