ABBL Hardware Inc. is seeking an experienced Hollow Metal Door Fabricator / Welder for our manufacturing team in NE Calgary.
We are looking for a skilled, dependable individual who values accuracy, quality, and meeting production deadlines.
You will fabricate steel doors, frames, and related components using shop drawings, measurements, and production sheets. Strong welding and metal fabrication skills are essential. Direct experience with hollow metal doors and frames is a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, fit, weld, and assemble steel doors, frames, and related components.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, production sheets, and fabrication requirements.
- Complete required hardware preparations and modifications.
- Grind and finish welds to achieve clean, consistent workmanship.
- Verify dimensions, squareness, alignment, and finished product quality.
- Identify discrepancies before fabrication and communicate them to the appropriate team member.
- Work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining quality.
- Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain an organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous metal fabrication and welding experience is required.
- Experience manufacturing hollow metal doors and frames is preferred.
- Ability to accurately read drawings, measurements, and production instructions.
- Proficiency with welding equipment, grinders, and metal fabrication tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in finished work.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and accountability.
- Commitment to safe work practices.
