Savanna Drilling seeks a dedicated Apprentice Field Mechanic to support our Maintenance team. This role provides opportunities to enhance your skills in mechanical systems and equipment repair while working in both the shop and field environments. You will collaborate closely with experienced personnel during your Heavy Equipment Technician apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems on drilling rigs
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Assist with electrical system troubleshooting
- Remove and rebuild mechanical components as needed
- Document maintenance, inspections, and repairs accurately
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
