Diagnose Caterpillar equipment using testing equipment while delivering field service at customer sites from a Toromont Service truck. This is full-time permanent work.
Toromont Cat seeks a Field Service Technician, Heavy Equipment, to complete timely repairs with integrity. The work emphasizes mechanical diagnosis, quality workmanship, customer communication, and safe, environmentally sound behaviors. You will service equipment in the field and maintain trusted customer relationships through regular onsite visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel directly to customer sites in a Toromont Service truck
- Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment
- Repair Caterpillar equipment within established field time standards
- Maintain quality workmanship and complete repairs on time
- Communicate regularly with customers during onsite visits
Requirements:
- Postsecondary education related to heavy duty, engine, or vehicle mechanics
- Minimum three years repairing and servicing mining heavy equipment
- Current 421A license, or nearing the challenging exam
- Familiarity with Cat ET and SIS systems is an asset
- Valid driver's license; DZ license preferred
