AgeCare is seeking a Recreation Worker dedicated to supporting residents through purposeful activities. This full-time position requires experience in long-term care and skills in planning and facilitating recreational programs. You will create engaging environments and foster community connections, empowering residents in their daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and facilitate leisure activities for residents
- Create engaging environments that encourage participation
- Communicate effectively with residents and families
- Observe and document changes in residents' engagement
- Support all departments in enhancing resident experiences
Requirements:
- Experience with seniors in long-term care preferred
- Diploma or degree in recreation or related field
- Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles
- Skills in activity planning and assessment documentation
- Capability to promote resident engagement through activities
