As a temporary part-time Health Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in a collaborative care team, working under a Licensed Practical Nurse. Your responsibilities include assisting with personal care, mobility, and nutrition, ensuring that each resident's dignity and comfort are prioritized. This is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide bathing and personal hygiene assistance to residents
- Aid with safe transfers in and out of beds or chairs
- Support residents during mealtime, based on diet plans
- Apply routine treatments as specified by nursing staff
- Escort residents to recreational and therapy events
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience in a care environment preferred
- Completion of PCA/HCA recognized course necessary
- Active CLHA registration required
- Fluency in English, both orally and in writing
- Additional education is an asset
