The City of Thompson invites applications for a full-time Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. Candidates must possess Level 2 Wastewater Treatment certification and a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. You will be responsible for operating and repairing facilities while ensuring all processes are recorded accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate wastewater treatment machinery and systems
- Perform maintenance on lift stations and lagoons
- Clean, unplug pumps, and repair valves
- Monitor and document essential processes
- Maintain buildings and outdoor facilities
Requirements:
- Level 2 Wastewater Treatment certification required
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Class 5 MB Driver's License
- Experience with hand tools and plumbing
- Effective communicator and team collaborator
