Bring kindness and laundry care to Eatonville Care Centre in Etobicoke as a Casual Laundry Aide with flexible hours. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver resident laundry.
Reporting to the Environmental Services Manager, this casual Laundry Aide supports scheduling needs and fills vacant shifts as they arise. The work includes linen processing, personal clothing care, laundry facility upkeep, and person centered resident support. You will follow machine operating instructions, infection control procedures, and established safety policies while creating meaningful everyday activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and sort laundry by type, condition, weight, and classification
- Wash, dry, fold, and deliver linen to appropriate units
- Set aside personal clothing for repairs or ironing
- Report machine malfunctions and maintain laundry equipment
- Support meaningful resident involvement in everyday domestic living
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of washer and dryer operations
- Some knowledge of chemicals used in laundry processing
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to provide positive social interactions with residents
- Clear vulnerable sector screen, recent TB results, and three supervisory references
Support Eatonville residents through dependable laundry processing, equipment care, infection control, and compassionate social interactions.
