Cisco is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to innovate on AI-driven network and security management. Your expertise will be crucial in utilizing LLMs and machine learning for proactive operations.
In this senior role, you'll define architectures for AI-native platforms, integrating agentic workflows across various systems. Your focus will include large-scale telemetry, intelligent capabilities for incident intelligence, and closed-loop automation to enhance operational efficacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define architectures for AI-native platforms in networking
- Integrate LLMs with operational telemetry and intelligence
- Build capabilities for anomaly detection and incident triage
- Develop network models inferring operational states
- Design automation for proactive detection and remediation
Requirements:
- Master's degree with 7+ years or PhD with 5+ years' experience
- 12+ years in AI/ML and platform engineering
- Proficient in C++, Go, Java, or Python
- Experience with operational data metrics and logs
- Knowledge of autonomous infrastructure is preferred
