Class 3 drivers can train on Roll Off and Front Load trucks with GFL Environmental in Edmonton, AB, working part time casually.
This position is specifically geared toward firefighters seeking meaningful work on days off. Drivers service multi-family residential and commercial routes, remove and transport waste or recyclables, and transfer materials to stations, landfills, or drop-off locations. GFL provides paid onboarding and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive frontload or roll off units along designated routes
- Collect solid waste and transport it to post-collection facilities
- Complete pre-trip inspections and vehicle condition reports
- Interact courteously with customers and the public
- Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses
Requirements:
- Valid Class 3 License with Air
- One year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate
- Meet company criteria for safety-sensitive functions
- Demonstrate safe truck driving and equipment operation
- Recognize unacceptable waste, including gasoline or flammable materials
Bring Class 3 driving, safe equipment operation, and route service skills to GFL Environmental's Edmonton waste operations.
