Commercial property underwriting and risk evaluation define this hybrid opportunity with Economical, part of Definity. Work virtually and from the office based on collaboration and task needs.
As an Underwriter, Regional Property, you will assess complex commercial risks and support profitable growth. The role includes new business decisions, renewals, endorsements, broker negotiations, and technical guidance. Professional French and English communication is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new business submissions and determine risk acceptance
- Review, negotiate, and process renewals and endorsements
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with brokers
- Build strong relationships across the broker network
- Provide technical underwriting guidance and support
Requirements:
- Four to seven years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience
- Analytical and decision-making skills for complex risk evaluation
- French and English professional communication skills
- University degree, college diploma, or CIP designation
- Strong computer skills and adaptability
