Use SQL, SAS, and Power BI to analyze regulated business processes in a hybrid Toronto Business Data Analyst contract. Build insight from complex data.
Apex Systems seeks a Business Data Analyst for a financial services business process analytics team. You will work with business partners to understand unfamiliar processes, gather reporting requirements, analyze large datasets, and develop meaningful insights. The work combines business-facing collaboration with hands-on technical analysis across project stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand regulated business processes with operational business groups
- Gather requirements and determine needed reporting or analysis
- Analyze large, messy datasets using SQL and SAS
- Build Power BI reports with basic DAX calculations
- Refine reporting through stakeholder feedback cycles
Requirements:
- Three or more years of data or business analytics experience
- Strong SQL skills for large dataset analysis
- Analytics experience with SAS and/or Python
- Power BI reporting and visualization experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Apply business process understanding, exploratory analysis, and data storytelling to support regulatory reporting in Toronto's financial services environment.
