If you're driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about building a long-term career, Steelcon offers an exciting opportunity to grow and succeed.Position OverviewThe Junior Field Quality Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that all steel erection activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes and standards (CSA S16, CSA W47/W59), and company quality procedures. This position works closely with site supervisors, project managers, and ironworkers to verify quality, document findings, and support continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform on-site inspections of structural steel components, bolted connections, welded assemblies, and installation practices.Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality control procedures.Maintain accurate records, logs, and quality documentation, including daily reports, NCRs, and inspection checklists.Support site teams with interpretation of drawings, standards, and quality requirements.Identify non-conformances, issue reports, and assist in developing corrective actions.Participate in quality audits, testing, and inspections with general contractors, engineers and third-party agencies.Assist in tracking and closing out deficiencies.Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.Qualifications1-3 years in steel constructionFamiliarity with relevant codes and standards (CSA S16, CSA W47/W59).Strong documentation and organizational skills.Ability to read field Erection drawingsCWB Level 1 preferredLocation, Hours of Work & Working ConditionsLocation: St. ThomasHours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am to 3:00pmWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and group benefits package starting from day 1Group RRSP program with 100% employer matchEmployee discountsCompany events & teambuilding activitiesOngoing learning & development opportunities to help build the career you wantAwards for top performers and employee tenureA unique opportunity to build, grow and leave your impact on a multi-billion-dollar industryDynamic, informal and collaborative work environmentSteelcon is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all qualified candidates to apply.
