Coordinate medical transportation and health benefits services as MKO's Medical Transportation Coordinator in Thompson, Manitoba, using careful scheduling and discretion.
This full-time position supports community members of MKO affiliated First Nations. The coordinator implements the FNIHB Medical Transportation Directive and serves clients by phone or in person. Work includes records, travel arrangements, accommodation liaison, and MTRS documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain computer records for transportation and health benefits programs
- Schedule economical taxi, flight, bus, and train arrangements
- Inform clients about transportation and accommodation arrangements
- Prepare and record document requests in MTRS
- Handle confidential matters with discretion and tact
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent education
- Experience or knowledge of non-insured health benefits
- Experience with First Nations organizations and clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and databases
- Satisfactory criminal, child abuse, and vulnerable sector checks
