GreenFirst Forest Products seeks a reliable Sawmill Cleaner for hands-on work in an industrial environment. You will maintain designated areas, support daily mill activities, and follow health, safety, and environmental standards. Training for entry-level production positions provides relief support when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean sawmill floors, walkways, and designated work areas
- Sweep, shovel, and remove sawdust and wood debris
- Empty garbage containers and dispose of waste appropriately
- Report potential safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor
- Perform fire watch duties during maintenance hot work
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and shovelling
- Comfortable with sawdust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices
- Industrial or commercial cleaning experience considered an asset
