Support rehabilitation services as a Therapy Assistant at Barrhead Continuing Care, using clinical and interpersonal skills in a regular part-time role.
Assisted Living Alberta seeks a Therapy Assistant for Recreation Long Term Care. Working under assigned audiologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, recreation therapists, or speech-language pathologists, you will provide direct and indirect client care. The work supports clients of all ages across the health care continuum and includes non-client service provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect client care
- Support rehabilitation services across the health care continuum
- Work with internal and external partners
- Contribute to quality improvement and program planning
- Participate in student supervision and care teams
Requirements:
- Diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program
- Equivalent training may be considered
- Professionalism and strong ethics in client-centered care
- Evidence of reflective thinking and lifelong learning
- Driver's license and vehicle required
