Massanutten Military Academy seeks an entry-level translator for freelance work. The role covers Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Italian alongside English. You will translate documents, proofread materials, research terminology, and communicate with students about requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate documents while preserving content, context, and tone
- Proofread and edit translations for accuracy and fluency
- Research industry terminology for technical documents
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- Clarify project requirements with students
Requirements:
- At least six months of translation or interpreting experience
- Fluency in English and at least one additional language
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of translation software and tools
- Strong accuracy, organization, and time management
