Clean and sort medical instruments at qathet General Hospital as a Medical Device Reprocessing Support Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health in Powell River.
Working under general supervision, you will support an integrated medical device reprocessing team within a client service culture. The work includes preparing instruments, linen, and equipment used for patient care, delivering items to appropriate areas, and completing clerical functions. Effective communication, organization, and equipment operation are central to the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sort instruments used for patient care
- Clean and sort linen and patient care equipment
- Deliver reprocessed items to appropriate areas
- Maintain records and complete related clerical functions
- Answer telephones and file documents
Requirements:
- Grade 10 education plus one year's recent related experience
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience considered
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Deal effectively with others and organize work
- Operate related equipment and perform physical duties
Support patient care through medical device reprocessing, organized clerical work, equipment operation, and effective communication at qathet General Hospital.
