Support transportation operations in Langley as a Logistics Specialist using customer service, order entry, scheduling, and load planning skills.
Westcan Bulk Transport is training a Logistics Specialist to build knowledge of customers, systems, and operations. The role begins with administration and customer service before expanding into driver scheduling, load planning, equipment coordination, and routing. Work follows four 10-hour shifts, including one scheduled Saturday or Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive orders through phone, email, and fax
- Enter orders into TMW and provide confirmations
- Prepare loading and delivery instructions
- Match drivers, trucks, and trailers to orders
- Schedule work using availability, equipment, routing, and hours-of-service requirements
Requirements:
- Previous dispatch or transportation experience is an asset
- Strong internal and external customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities independently
- Organization and interpersonal skills under pressure
