Reporting to the Support Services Supervisor, you will utilize your cooking diploma and extensive knowledge of therapeutic diets. Successful candidates demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills while supporting a diverse population. Your ability to work independently will be vital in this role that emphasizes quality meal preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals in accordance with prescribed policies
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards
- Collaborate with healthcare staff for meal planning
- Pursue initiative and demonstrated action in the kitchen
- Engage effectively with diverse dietary needs
Requirements:
- Minimum one-year Cooking Diploma/Certificate
- Two years institutional cooking experience needed
- Must hold a Food Safe 1 certificate
- Possession of Class 5 Yukon driver's license required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
