In this full-time role, you will oversee approximately 1,000 annual events and provide essential guidance to student societies. Your experience in organizing and executing large-scale events, alongside strong analytical and communication skills, will be crucial for promoting a collaborative environment among diverse groups of students. The position requires compliance knowledge with Ontario's regulations and best practices in student life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations of student societies
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Address and mediate student issues and dynamics
- Facilitate collaborative projects among different societies
- Develop and implement training for new society executives
Requirements:
- University degree in a related field required
- Minimum 2 years in volunteer management or staff supervision
- Familiarity with student societies at Waterloo is an asset
- Experience in large event planning and execution
- Strong understanding of risk management in student activities
