Looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery and governance of our Azure Arc (hybrid and multi-cloud management platform from Microsoft) initiative, enabling Extended Security Updates (ESU) for legacy Windows and SQL Server environments across a hybrid cloud landscape. Location: Toronto (must be committed to 2d per week onsite in downtown Toronto) Duration: 8-10 months (possible extension) Start: Jan 2025 (interviews before pre-holidays week) Requirements: At least 5-year experience managing IT infrastructure or cloud migration projects Must have PM Clarity tool experience Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid-cloud ecosystems; and, ideally, experience with legacy modernization and hybrid-cloud security/compliance Strong understanding of Azure Arc (a bridge that connects on-prem or legacy servers to Azure), Windows Server/SQL Server lifecycle management, and ESU programs Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills Proficiency with project management methodologies (Waterfall or hybrid) Education/Certification Reqs: Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Azure certifications (strongly preferred) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Expected Outcomes: All in-scope legacy servers successfully onboarded to Azure Arc ESU applied with no service disruption Compliance with Microsoft licensing and security requirements 90% stakeholder satisfaction at project close Main Duties and Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end delivery of the Azure Arc implementation project Oversee onboarding of legacy Windows and SQL servers to enable ESU Ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and cloud strategy Manage timelines, budgets, and resource planning Establish and maintain governance standards for Azure Arc adoption Validate ESU compliance and Microsoft licensing alignment Monitor security, performance, and operational health of connected servers Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams Provide clear status updates, risk visibility, and mitigation recommendations to leadership Drive issue resolution, escalate when needed, and support informed decision-making Identify risks tied to legacy environments and maintain contingency plans Deliver final project documentation and handover materials
