This Pharmacy Intern placement provides practical experience for future pharmacists in a community pharmacy setting. You will strengthen communication with patients, employees, and healthcare workers while learning about OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling. The position also introduces the expanding roles of community pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge customers approaching the Pharmacy
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent requirements
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public
- Support pharmacy and customer service activities
- Learn skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy
Requirements:
- Interest in practical community pharmacy experience
- Passion for exceptional Pharmacy customer experiences
- Ability to communicate with patients and healthcare workers
- Interest in OTC products and drug therapy
- Commitment to patient counseling skill development
