At Terrace Lodge in Malahide, you will develop and manage group and individual recreation activities, adhering to guidelines from medical professionals. Your role requires attention to detail as you document resident progress, recommend program priorities, and collaborate with external agencies to enhance recreational offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize engaging recreational programs for residents
- Record and report progress of residents' participation
- Collaborate with medical staff and recreation organizations
- Schedule and evaluate recreational activities
- Maintain resident safety and comfort during programs
Requirements:
- Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in relevant field
- 1 to 3 years experience in geriatric recreation
- Physical stamina to meet job demands
- Familiarity with Peterson-Gunn theory of Activation/Recreation
- Clear Criminal Record Check and TB screening
