I am excited to share a unique opportunity in the industrial manufacturing sector with a leading company specializing in custom electromechanical lifting equipmentYour role:Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead a technical team on large-scale projects with timelines ranging from 12 to 36 months. You will be responsible for mechanical design, structural and mechanism sizing, component selection, and the supervision of designers and engineers. This position offers a strong opportunity to further develop your technical expertise in a stimulating and demanding engineering environment.Key responsibilities:* Act as the technical lead for new equipment and modernization projects* Perform mechanical design of equipment, including mechanisms, structures, ergonomics, and machine safety* Carry out calculations and sizing of structures and mechanisms* Select off-the-shelf components in accordance with project specifications* Supervise and mentor designers, drafters, and engineers* Prepare and review technical documentation related to projectsDesired Profile:* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent* Active member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec* 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design of structures or welded assemblies* Experience managing a technical team is an asset* Advanced French and English (written and spoken)* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor; knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, MATHCAD, S-FRAME is a plus* Motivated, dynamic, creative, and collaborative professionalConditions:* Salary range: CAD 100,000 to 130,000* Flexible schedule, up to 50% remote work possible* Minimum of 3 weeks of vacation, personal days, and 13 statutory holidays* Group RRSP with employer contribution* Comprehensive group insurance and employee assistance program* Paid training and bonus program* Recognized environment for work-life balance
