Elevate your career with the Canadian Red Cross as a certified Senior Emergency Management Coordinator, with a partially virtual/hybrid model based in Central Region, AB. Lead emergency response and volunteer management to strengthen community resilience.
In this permanent full-time position, you will oversee volunteer management, execute Personal Disaster Assistance (PDA) and Emergency Support Services (ESS), and ensure response readiness. This role demands at least 3 years of relevant experience in emergency management, volunteer oversight, and planning. You will lead local emergency service delivery while engaging with local authorities and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment and management of volunteers
- Lead the local execution of PDA and ESS service lines
- Maintain readiness for emergency activations
- Support implementation of emergency response plans
- Engage in after-action reviews to improve services
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
- Strong knowledge of emergency management principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license and clean abstract
